Athena Software and Relate UK announce plans for expansion of software to the remaining network of Relate Centers across the UK. Athena Software was chosen by Relate, the largest relationship counseling agency in the UK with over 600 offices and 2000 staff, to provide a web based, integrated case management solution. Relate recently completed customization and will expand the use of Athena case management software to all staff in the pilot by March 2009 and begin rolling out Athena Software to the remaining 600 locations by end of March 2011. Athena Software is working with Laurie D’Souza of the Ontario Ministry of International Trade and Investment (MITI) in London to offer software to all 300,000 voluntary social service agencies in the UK. We met with Dr. Mike Bainbridge and Peter Dyke of the National Health Service to discuss how Athena Software could help UK’s 300,000 voluntary social service agencies with web based case management software and deliver, efficient, improved service. It was an extremely productive week.”

Roaring Penguin Software has added three new staff, bringing its workforce to nine and doubling its growth in one year. A new software developer/technical support specialist and two inside sales staff will be instrumental in enhancing and delivering CanIt, the company’s enterprise anti-spam software product line, to even more campuses, ISPs and enterprises in 2004.

Dave O’Neill joins the company as software developer, working on the CanIt product line and providing technical customer support. O’Neill is a Linux and UNIX developer with experience working with client/server development. He previously worked at Linuxcare, and holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Carleton University in Ottawa.

Natasha Sephton and Wayne Kelly join Roaring Penguin as inside sales staff supporting education campus sales. Both are experienced account representatives in high-technology environments.

Sephton joins the company from Telus, where she was and account manager. Her prior experience includes sales management and corporate training. She earned a degree in psychology and various human relations certificates. Kelly previously held account management roles at Corel Corporation and E-cruiter. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Memorial University and a diploma in business marketing from Algonquin College.
