Eftia Partners With One Of The Largest PCS Providers

Ottawa, Canada (PRWEB) September 16, 2004

Eftia, a global provider of operations management software solutions designed to meet the business automation needs of communications service providers and large enterprises, today announced that an all-PCS nationwide wireless provider in the US, has selected Eftia’s Master.Scribe to manage its state of the art wireless as well as their existing equipment in their lab network.

The wireless provider chose Eftia’s products to replace its internal systems and databases, specifically those related to asset and inventory management as well as telephone number and internet protocol (IP) address management. Procuring the Master.Scribe Inventory and Number Management Applications in order to manage these assets and circuits, it will utilize the Eftia product in nine telecom labs across the United States.

The inventory module will assist them in better managing their equipment, enabling improved administration of their hardware cost structure as well as enhanced scheduling in their test planning projects.

All testing and certification of the wireless service provider’s equipment and processes is undertaken in the lab environment before being incorporated into the field network. In order to handle this process Master.Scribe has been installed in one lab where Eftia is currently engaged in an onsite training consulting engagement to configure the Master.Scribe product and optimize its use in their lab environment. This partnership will undoubtedly prove the ability of Eftia Master.Scribe to support next-generation wireless networks, especially as the service provider completes its migration to third-generation (3G) wireless technology this year.

“Eftia is tremendously excited to be playing a part in their plans,” says Stephen Parker, Eftia President and CEO. “We know that our products will increase their efficiency and flexibility to better enable the company to model and meet the demands of changing service offerings.” In addition to enabling them to build and maintain comprehensive records of their communications network, Eftia’s inventory management system will reduce time in testing of equipment, more efficiently manage the circuits between lab locations, and handle the association of IP number management with the data network.

Leading crisis intervention companies form single network and advisory board

(PRWEB) May 7, 2004

Grand Rapids, Mi. and Atlanta, Ga. — May 6, 2004 – Grand Rapids-based Crisis Care Network, Inc. and Atlanta-based Crisis Management International, Inc. have announced a strategic merger of the Critical Incident Response Division of CMI into the CCN organization. Crisis Care Network will assume operational control of the response business. The partnership will become operationally effective July 1, 2004. This agreement will significantly broaden the response network coverage and availability for CCN while allowing CMI to focus on its crisis preparedness services. Financial terms of the agreement will not be disclosed.

As part of this merger, Crisis Care Network will establish a clinical advisory board, including industry experts, practitioner associations, human resources professionals, and academic and research communities, whose mission will be to define the next generation of standard of care for critical incident response. The goal will be to incorporate the best elements of the traditional Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) model, the CMI resiliency program, and emerging empirically-based approaches to early crisis intervention.

“This transaction significantly raises the bar as we lead the industry towards a higher standard of care, a new level of enhanced customer service, and a more rigorous credentialing requirement for the combined provider network” said Lyle Labardee, CEO of Crisis Care Network.

“This agreement will allow CMI to concentrate on our integrated crisis preparedness services, while becoming aligned with the largest and most sophisticated critical incident response network in the world. It is truly a win-win situation,” said Bruce Blythe, CEO of Crisis Management International.

Both CCN and CMI will be exhibiting at the EASNA 16th Annual Institute Conference in Ottawa, Canada, May 13-15, 2004.

Crisis Care Network, Inc. is the leading provider of Critical Incident Response services, training and resources. With advanced on-line dispatch and reporting technology, CCN provides telephonic and on-site intervention 24 x 7 to employers, employee assistance programs, and insurers.
