Plastic Surgery Practice in Ottawa Unveils New Site

Plastic Surgery Practice in Ottawa Unveils New Site

Ottawa, ON (PRWEB) July 23, 2011

Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Howard Silverman is pleased to announce the launch of his new Web site showcasing his medical practice, Ottawa Plastic Surgery (http://www.ottawaplasticsurgery.com). The new site provides information about the different procedures he offers. Among his specializations are body-contouring, facial sculpting, and breast enhancement, such as breast augmentation and implants in Ottawa.

“I am excited about this opportunity to provide current and potential patients with details about their many options for plastic surgery in Ottawa,” says Dr. Silverman. “For example, in addition to information about breast augmentation, I’ve created an FAQ that explains what is involved in that procedure, from incisions to implant placement.”

The streamlined Web site is divided into different sections by procedure category: Breast, Body, and Face. Included in each section is an overview of the applicable surgical procedures as well as downloadable pre- and post-operative instructions. For example, the tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) section is designed to help patients prepare for the surgery. By reviewing the post-operation instructions in advance, they also can know what to expect after the procedure.

“Due to the increasing popularity of non-surgical treatments, I also have highlighted many of the medical spa services that I offer,” Dr. Silverman notes. “For example, my site includes no-downtime treatments such as BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers such as JUVÉDERM® and Restylane®. I also offer a variety of laser-assisted treatments, such as laser skin resurfacing and rejuvenation, as well as laser hair removal.”

Also featured on the Web site are details about Dr. Silverman’s extensive qualifications, including his educational training and professional experience. Profiles of key staff members, including his office nurse, are provided to help patients feel comfortable and at ease. Dr. Silverman’s site is designed to give potential patients a sense of the warmth and dedication to exceptional care they will find at his plastic surgery practice in Ottawa.

“I wanted my new Web site to be a reflection of my philosophy and my practice, and I’m very pleased with the way it turned out – it’s clean and professional, it’s informative, and it conveys our commitment to patient-focused care at its highest level,” adds Dr. Silverman. “At every visit, our patients receive timely, compassionate, and completely confidential attention, and that is reflected in this new site. I think it will provide an excellent resource for my current and new patients.”

Howard Silverman, M.D. (http://www.ottawaplasticsurgery.com) offers breast enhancement, body contouring, facial sculpting, and other types of plastic surgery in Ottawa. Leade Health Outlines Health Coaching Best Practice Process in New Whitepaper

Leade Health Outlines Health Coaching Best Practice Process in New Whitepaper

Ann Arbor, MI (PRWEB) July 14, 2006

Leade Health, a pioneer in the field of health coaching, has released “Defining Best Practices in Health Coaching: From Competencies to Processes,” a new whitepaper that will help establish best practices for behavioral change programs such as weight management, stress reduction, tobacco cessation and cardiovascular health. One of an ongoing series, the research paper is available for download from Leade Health at no charge.

“No defined health coaching best practices currently exist,” says Michael D. Mulvihill, President and CEO of Leade Health. “By establishing and utilizing a best practices approach, we plan to serve as a model for the industry in delivering best-in-class coaching, achieving behavioral change and reducing health care costs for employers.”

Achieving these outcomes requires health coaches who are client-centered, non-judgmental, and excellent listeners. These personal characteristics, along with specific knowledge, skills and abilities, are competencies that Leade Health will measure as part of their best practices approach.

In the new whitepaper, the firm points out that only a limited body of research examines health and wellness coaching. Overall, many gaps still exist in knowledge regarding best practices in health coaching. To begin to fill some of these gaps, and to investigate what makes successful health programs work, Leade Health is committed to undertake scientific research under the direction of their Scientific Advisory Board. This independent group will provide oversight in areas related to best practices research. In the whitepaper, Leade explains their research project to determine the skills most critical for successful health coaching.

Leade Health and its team of health coaches have a good start on benchmark data that confirms clients’ success in their health coaching programs. For example, Leade has served nearly 34,000 tobacco users with quit rates among the highest in the industry, averaging 27% at 12 months. Nearly 10,000 weight management program participants consistently achieve outcomes well above reported norms, with 89% achieving weight loss or weight stabilization after one year, and 37% losing 5% or more of body weight. Leade’s top quality coaches, products and practices, and years of experience uniquely qualify them to deliver health coaching best practices to the marketplace.

Leade Health is defining best practices using the Interactive Domain Model (IDM) of Best Practices in Health Promotion developed by the Center for Health Promotion at the University of Toronto. The center cites that, “Best practices in health promotion are those sets of processes and actions that are consistent with health promotion values, theories, evidence and understanding of the environment, and that are most likely to achieve health promotion goals in a given situation.” The development of best practices utilizing a comprehensive and systematic approach requires the commitment of an entire organization.
