Eftia Partners With One Of The Largest PCS Providers

Eftia Partners With One Of The Largest PCS Providers

Ottawa, Canada (PRWEB) September 16, 2004

Eftia, a global provider of operations management software solutions designed to meet the business automation needs of communications service providers and large enterprises, today announced that an all-PCS nationwide wireless provider in the US, has selected Eftia’s Master.Scribe to manage its state of the art wireless as well as their existing equipment in their lab network.

The wireless provider chose Eftia’s products to replace its internal systems and databases, specifically those related to asset and inventory management as well as telephone number and internet protocol (IP) address management. Procuring the Master.Scribe Inventory and Number Management Applications in order to manage these assets and circuits, it will utilize the Eftia product in nine telecom labs across the United States.

The inventory module will assist them in better managing their equipment, enabling improved administration of their hardware cost structure as well as enhanced scheduling in their test planning projects.

All testing and certification of the wireless service provider’s equipment and processes is undertaken in the lab environment before being incorporated into the field network. In order to handle this process Master.Scribe has been installed in one lab where Eftia is currently engaged in an onsite training consulting engagement to configure the Master.Scribe product and optimize its use in their lab environment. This partnership will undoubtedly prove the ability of Eftia Master.Scribe to support next-generation wireless networks, especially as the service provider completes its migration to third-generation (3G) wireless technology this year.

“Eftia is tremendously excited to be playing a part in their plans,” says Stephen Parker, Eftia President and CEO. “We know that our products will increase their efficiency and flexibility to better enable the company to model and meet the demands of changing service offerings.” In addition to enabling them to build and maintain comprehensive records of their communications network, Eftia’s inventory management system will reduce time in testing of equipment, more efficiently manage the circuits between lab locations, and handle the association of IP number management with the data network.

Author Lynn Moore Reveals Why Baby Boomer Women Are The Largest Influence Behind the Historical Change in the Dynamics of Retirement

Author Lynn Moore Reveals Why Baby Boomer Women Are The Largest Influence Behind the Historical Change in the Dynamics of Retirement

Lynn Moore

Vernon, BC Canada (PRWEB) August 11, 2011

Lynn Moore, author of “How To Get What You Want Every Time” and “Inspirational Goaling” reveals why baby boomer women are becoming a powerfully influential group and changing the dynamics of retirement as we’ve known it.

Just as the Baby Boomer generation has created massive changes in society’s norms as it reached various milestones in life’s progression, it continues to do so as the woman of this generation does not see ‘retirement’ as have her ancestors. According to Lynn Moore, creator of Clear Goals Coaching, these women, who are the segment of our society most responsive to the powerfully positive shift in our planetary consciousness surrounding the year 2012, are the front wave of the ‘new retirement’.

         This age group and gender whose numbers are greater than at any other time in history will be the most long-lived and in better health than any previous generation and they want to be productive. These women have experienced more rapid change, more accumulation of knowledge and more life adjustments than any past generation. Their accumulated wisdom is apparent and they want to use it creatively. They see themselves as free and purposeful for several more decades and are looking for a fulfillment they have not yet experienced. The National Association of Baby Boomer Women (http://nabbw.com) states, “Women have the opportunity to take previously untapped power into their hands to influence the direction of the marketplace, the workplace, the family and worldwide leadership. ‘We’re a powerhouse of femininity and our world needs us healthy, wealthy and wise’ ”

         Even more than these circumstances, they are unwilling to look at their future as one of traditional ‘retirement’, because they are motivated by a more ‘spiritual need’ to bring additional feminine energy contributions to society. They want to leave a legacy of new values through living their life purpose as they assist others to do the same. The “New Retirement Survey” by Merrill Lynch finds that “67% (of Boomers) assert that continued mental stimulation and challenge is what will motivate them to stay in the game.”

Tony Robbins, in his teachings of the Six Basic Human Needs, points out that Growth and Contribution are the two primary needs in life and “unless you feel like you’re growing, you will be unhappy and unfulfilled” and “A balance of contribution to oneself and others, especially unselfish contribution, is the ultimate secret to the joy that so many people wish to have in their lives”.

         Moore feels that clearly, this group of women is motivated by these two primary needs. Moore’s career as a Life Coach/Mentor teaching her proprietary system of choosing and attaining goals in a new way for a new age, has discovered this desire within most of her mature, female clients and experiences them seeking clarity and direction as they search for their ideal vehicle through which to accomplish their desires ie: entrepreneurialism, volunteerism, consulting, etc. To a person, she hears them saying “I know there is something out there that I am supposed to do; there is something more for me.” The same Merrill Lynch survey shows, “Baby boomer women view the dual liberations of empty nesting and retirement as providing new opportunities for career development, community involvement and continued personal growth.”

It is to this end that Moore was inspired to record a 50-minute mp3 titled “Revealed! Six Reasons Why Baby Boomer Women Are the Most Influential Group On The Planet And How To Get Extreme Clarity About Your Most Meaningful And Exciting Years Yet!” This recording is a free download on Moore’s website http://www.ClearGoalsCoaching.com and is intended to give Baby Boomer Women insight into what they are sensing and why, that they are not alone and that they do indeed have a new role in society that is much needed, aligned with the shift in consciousness and tells how they can develop great clarity in going forward.

World’s Largest Tulip Festival Blooms in Ottawa

World’s Largest Tulip Festival Blooms in Ottawa

Ottawa (Vocus) May 1, 2009

From May 1-18, 2009, three million tulips bloom in Ottawa, Canada’s Capital, during the Canadian Tulip Festival – the largest festival of its kind in the world.

The Canadian Tulip Festival attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year who come to explore the 15-km (9.3 mile) Tulip Route that winds throughout the Ottawa region and along the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

What springs up along this colourful Tulip Route?

A lavish art nouveau Tulip Festival Mirror Tent hosts the award-winning Chinese Nanjing Acrobatic Troupe (think: elaborate juggling and human balancing acts), live musical performances by jazz singer Kellylee Evans, folk singers Ian Tyson and Lynn Miles, as well as a thought-provoking speaker series called Celebridée, a Celebration of Ideas, which brings together thinkers, artists, writers, and political figures to debate and discuss issues. Canada’s political satirist Rick Mercer, Booker-Prize winning author Margaret Atwood and Sister Helen Prejean whose story turned into an international best seller and Oscar-nominated film Dead Man Walking, will all appear;
An International Pavilion to house representatives of 23 embassies and high commissions to share food, explore traditions and crafts from their respective countries;
5 vintage carnival rides, an interactive circus school that teaches festival-goers circus skills, as well as a Green Tulip Showcase to share ways for visitors to lessen their environmental impact;
Commissioner’s Park – home to 300,000 tulips alone – shines even more with street performers, school music programs, local painters as well as the outdoor Tulip Legacy Exhibit that started it all.

The Canadian Tulip Festival traces its roots to a gift of 100,000 tulip bulbs sent to the people of Canada by the Dutch Royal Family at the end of World War II. During the war, the Royal Family took refuge in Ottawa and Princess Margriet was born here. Canadian troops played a pivotal role in liberating the Netherlands, which led to the original tulip gift. Even today, the Royal Family and the Dutch Bulb Growers Association send tulip bulbs to Ottawa. http://www.tulipfestival.ca

Want to make the most of your tulip experience? Ottawa Tourism offers a Tulip Celebration Package. To find out more about this package or to book, visit http://www.ottawatourism.ca or by calling 1-888-OTTAWA-8 (1-888-688-2928).

Summer Festivals

From June to August, Ottawa reverberates with music festivals including:

The Ottawa International Jazz Festival (June 25-July 5);
The Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest (July 8-19) – the world’s second largest blues festival after Chicago’s;
The world’s largest Chamber Music Festival (July 25-August 8);
The Ottawa Folk Festival (August 21-23).

Couple music festivals with Canada’s biggest birthday bash (Canada Day on July 1), the world’s largest beach volleyball tournament (July 11), a green and eco-friendly Rideau Canal Festival (July 31-August 3), the eclectic ByWard Market neighbourhood, the pomp of the Changing the Guard Ceremony on Parliament Hill and you have an action-packed summer.
