Halogen Software Signs 100th New Customer of 2004 – Company Growth Rides on Incredible Demand for its Employee Performance Management Software

Ottawa (PRWEB) December 10, 2004

December 9, 2004 –Halogen Software Inc., a leading provider of Web-based employee performance management (EPM) software, has now signed more than 100 new customers so far in 2004. That makes 2004 the strongest year yet for the Ottawa-based company, and makes Halogen one of the most successful companies in its market space.

The new customer wins already translate into 200% year-over-year growth for Halogen—well above the industry rate projected by sector analysts. For example, Gartner analyst James Holincheck’s recently published report on Employee Performance Management (EPM) predicts that “the EPM software market will demonstrate at least a 15 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) through 2008.”1

“Halogen’s growth has been propelled by its award-winning Halogen eAppraisal product—and the dedicated team behind it,” said Paul Loucks, President of Halogen Software. “We’re often told that our solutions have the features customers need, yet are much simpler and more cost-effective to implement and use than those of our competitors. The Christiana Care win we announced last week was another public confirmation of the value that we offer over our competitors.”

Delaware-based Christiana Care Health System is one of the premiere health care providers in the U.S. mid-Atlantic region. It recently selected Halogen eAppraisal Healthcare over competitive product offerings to automate performance evaluations for its 9,500 employees.

“Signing 100 clients this year is an impressive achievement, especially given that a majority of enterprises have yet to move beyond paper-based workforce performance management,” said Lisa Rowan, program manager for HR management and staffing services at technology research firm IDC. “Halogen’s success underscores the opportunity for automating this time-consuming and laborious event into an ongoing function that can drive new processes and guide organizational culture.”

Macadamian Experiences Strong Growth by Helping Others Succeed

Macadamian Experiences Strong Growth by Helping Others Succeed

Ottawa, ON (PRWEB) December 11, 2007

For every software project that succeeds, there are three more that fail. Often the difference between a winning product and a losing one is the experience users have with the software. Macadamian, a product development outsourcing company specializing in next-generation product design and software engineering, is taking an innovative approach to its own success by working to raise the odds of other companies’ products succeeding in the marketplace.

The combination of user-centered design and innovative software engineering services has been a winning one for Macadamian, resulting in another year of strong growth. As a result of the accelerating demand for end-to-end product development services, Macadamian experienced 52% revenue growth in its latest fiscal year, from $ 6.7 million in 2006 to $ 10.2 million in 2007, and added 44 new clients.

Macadamian’s user-centered design service helps companies ensure products are easy to use and do what users need them to, as opposed to R&D’s best guess, resulting in software applications that users get excited about using. Usability services, in turn, test prototypes in the field prior to development, raising the odds of success that engineering services will build a product people will love.

“Increasing the customer base, growing in the ISV, telecommunications and health sciences verticals, and winning end-to-end projects where we helped customers from User Experience to development to product release were strategic goals last year,” said Frédéric Boulanger, Macadamian president and CEO. “Not only did we achieve all three, but we also landed new customers in our target geographies of San Jose, Boston, Toronto, and Dallas. I’m very pleased with our performance.”

The strategy of mixing user-centered design with software engineering services has been especially beneficial for companies building VoIP and IPTV products, and for medical device/health science companies like ImaSight, who used Macadamian’s services in creating a groundbreaking new digital imaging product that will free veterinary and chiropractic clinics from the limitations of x-ray film.
