Your ISO certification becomes toast after December 15, 2003!

(PRWEB) September 18, 2003

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ottawa, Ontario -(PRWEB) September 16, 2003. What’s the difference? The old standard took a procedural approach (“here are the rules, follow them”). The new standard emphasizes managing a series of process to meet a particular outcome. Because of the options and choices available with the new standard, it appears to cause more chaos then the old standard, where it was easier to be told specifically what to do. The old standard was also very light on talking about an integrated system – individual processes were treated in isolation. Under the new standard there is a need to look at the overall processes.

If you are considering ISO? Most real life companies have one specific goal, and that is to make money, either through offering a product or service. Your specialty is what starts the customers interest, but after that, it is the consistency and quality of your product or service, that will sustain your revenue growth. Quality comes from understanding your work processes, documenting them, and following them. In reality, any sound operation already engaged in good business practices, will already have this thought process. For them, the new ISO merely formalizes through documentation, what is already known.

Taking care of customer satisfaction is a philosophy emphasized throughout the new ISO – but isn’t that what you’re already doing?

Intrinsic Magic supplies a ready to roll quality management system package (quality manual, full set of system level procedures, and a list of required process documents) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2000. A full support service is available also with the package. You can have an up and running ISO 9001: 2000 tailored quality management system in as short a time as 6 months!

Orion Health Rhapsody Integration Engine Awarded ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 EHR Module Certification

Orion Health Rhapsody Integration Engine Awarded ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 EHR Module Certification

Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) July 19, 2011

Orion Health, Inc., global leaders in Health Information Exchange(HIE) solutions, announced today that the Orion Health Rhapsody Integration Engine and Rhapsody Connect versions 4.1 are compliant and certified as an Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) Module by ICSA labs, an independent division of Verizon.

Christopher Ward, Orion Health Senior Vice President of Marketing says the certification is advantageous to both customers and partners, especially those looking for a public health reporting solution. Rhapsody 4.1 helps providers and hospitals seeking eligibility for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) by assuring they meet 100% of the security/privacy- and public health-related criteria.

“Rhapsody is one of the most broadly adopted and reliable solutions available and now offers an even greater value by helping customers meet government requirements for Meaningful Use while simultaneously helping them plan for future growth and innovation. Rhapsody’s depth of functionality helped in meeting all eight of the government mandated security objectives and in turn, supports those organizations who are looking for superior security and overall solution integrity. Similarly, we drew on our experience across the 52 state and local health departments where Rhapsody is currently deployed to also meet the ONC’s public health criteria,” Mr. Ward continues.

In addition to ONC certification, Rhapsody is registered as a Class I Medical Device by the US Food and Drug Administration. The combined certifications demonstrate Orion Health’s commitment to quality and high standards in producing healthcare technology solutions.

“Another key benefit of Orion Health solutions is that they do not require an organization to replace entire systems, meaning they can continue to leverage their existing IT investments,” Mr. Ward concludes.

Orion Health’s intensive focus on serving the healthcare industry has driven Rhapsody’s success and adoption both as an independent data integration platform and an embedded component in medical devices. Currently, Orion Health helps facilities and healthcare communities that connect 35 million patients with tens of thousands of active users. Rhapsody has been developed with a focus on the needs of IT professionals, with the inclusion of features and functionality including testing and secure FTP options that ease the migration process and streamlined message exchange between clinical and business systems, both internally and externally in anticipation of future HIE activity.

The Rhapsody Integration Engine and Rhapsody Connect versions 4.1 will each have certifications for inpatient and ambulatory, and meet meaningful use objectives:

Narconon Arrowhead Receives Certification from Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services

The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse (ODMHSAS) awarded full certification to Narconon of Oklahoma, Inc. (dba) Narconon Arrowheads drug free withdrawal program after department inspectors verified the center was in 100% compliance with the criteria required by the state for non-medical detoxification.

The Departments recommendation for full certification was sanctioned by a unanimous vote by the Oklahoma Board of Mental Health at their monthly meeting held at Department headquarters in Oklahoma City on the 11th of March. Full certification is valid for three years, which is the most allowed under the Department is regulations.

Narconon Arrowhead CEO, Gary W. Smith said, My center is goal has always been to meet or exceed state and federal treatment standards because the individuals that we help are the ones that benefit from a higher quality care in the end. I think it’s a new era for the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and treatment providers in the state. We have known for some time that substance abuse is one of the key factors that are driving up prison and health care costs and more treatment services are needed, not less. State regulations seem to be moving more towards inclusion of alternative types of effective rehabilitation methods and programs rather then being exclusive to what has been considered traditional treatment methods.

In addition to ODMHSAS certification Narconons drug and alcohol rehabilitation program is accredited by the nationally recognized and prestigious Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission (CARF) since the center was first licensed in Oklahoma in 1991. The organization has helped thousands of people recover from drug addiction since that time and has helped prevent drug use through education to hundreds of thousands across the country through the application of American author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard is effective drug-free rehabilitation methodology.

Adds Smith, I am impressed with the cooperative spirit that exists today with the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse and treatment providers in the state of Oklahoma. I know this is due, in now small part, to the Department leadership and support in making more treatment services available by the Governor office.

Narconon Arrowhead is one of the largest private residential treatment centers in the United States. The center services between 200 and 230 people in need at a time and program participants range from 18 to over 60 years of age and come from all walks of life all over the country as well as overseas. It is also the main training center for Narconon is international network of drug rehabilitation and education programs that now reaches 40 countries.

NSF International?s Global Food Safety Certification Division Earns Five-Star Rating from British Retail Consortium (BRC)

NSF International’s Global Food Safety Certification Division Earns Five-Star Rating from British Retail Consortium (BRC)

NSF International

Ann Arbor, Mich. (PRWEB) August 09, 2011

NSF International’s Food Safety Division has earned the highest rating from the British Retail Consortium (BRC), developer of the BRC global food safety standards for food, packaging, storage and distribution. This excellent five-star rating confirms NSF’s reputation as a leading certifier to the global food safety standards, having certified more than 28,000 farms and facilities.

NSF is committed to helping companies throughout the global food supply chain strengthen their quality assurance programs. In 2009, NSF International became the first North American certification body to earn ANSI accreditation for BRC standards and has become the largest certifier to BRC worldwide and SQF in the U.S. Many of the leading global retail and foodservice companies now require certification of their suppliers against these Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI)*-benchmarked standards to help strengthen food safety practices.

For the first time, BRC published the key performance indicators (KPI) ratings of each certification body from January – June 2011 in their directory, which highlights NSF International’s five-star rating. The BRC measures each certification body on the following KPIs every six months: Audit Report Writing Quality, Compliance to the BRC Scheme & Standard Protocol Requirements, Auditor Registration, Data Submission, Commitment and Communication.

“BRC works closely with our certification bodies to ensure the most effective and consistent use of the BRC Global Standards,” said John Kukoly, Senior Technical Marketing Representative in North America for BRC. “A rigorous set of key performance indicators are used to measure feedback and continually improve the performance of our partners in assessing certified companies. These measures, the most rigorous in the industry, ensure that those certification bodies (able to perform BRC certification audits) are held to exacting expectations and standards themselves. When a certification body receives a five-star rating, such as NSF International, this puts them at the very top performance level within the BRC program.”

“NSF International has grown into the largest certifier to BRC worldwide, and SQF in the U.S., because we’ve continued to focus on quality and meeting the expectations of our customers, accreditation bodies and standard’s owners,” said Robert Prevendar, Director of Food Safety Certification Systems for NSF International. “I am very proud of our auditors and operations team for placing us in the top five percent with our score of 100, which helps us fulfill NSF’s mission of protecting and improving human health worldwide.”
