Grace Food Announces Lady of Grace Sweepstakes

Grace Food Announces Lady of Grace Sweepstakes

New York, NY (PRWEB) July 20, 2011

Grace Foods, one of the largest companies on the beautiful island of Jamaica, is proud to announce our new “Healthy Up Program,” which runs from July 1st through August 2011. This exciting new venture features the “Lady of Grace” competition, a celebration of the quintessential woman on the go and her personification of a healthy blend between mind, body, and soul.

The Lady of Grace competition is simple, requiring only a photo of the contestant and a short summary of why she is the ultimate “Lady of Grace.” The search is centered in Grace’s two most vibrant Caribbean consumer markets, the New York Tri-State Area and Greater Miami. Grace Foods recognizes that their consumer base is predominantly women of color, a demographic that consistently over indexes in dietary related health issues like obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, and hypertension. All of these afflictions are easily preventable with a well balanced diet and appropriate supplements, both of which Grace Foods wholly endorse. Grace Foods Marketing Manager Andrew Collins explains the “Healthy Up Program”: “We are hopeful that this program will start to position Grace Foods as not just a company known for great tasting products but a company that offers healthy options as well.”

The winner will be announced at the beginning of September, their prize being a trip to Jamaica with 3 friends, complete with spa treatments, sunset cruises and much more. Accommodation will be provided by our sweepstakes partners; Jamaica Tourist Board, Breezes Resort & Spa-Trelawny, and Air Jamaica- Everything you love and more.

About Grace Foods:

Grace Foods is one of the Caribbean’s largest and most dynamic corporate entities. The company was started in Jamaica in 1922 as a small company of traders and wharf operators. Over the years, the company has expanded and diversified, growing from a privately owned enterprise to a public enterprise listed in the stock exchanges of Jamaica as well as Trinidad & Tobago.

Today, the Grace Kennedy Food group comprises a varied network of some 60 subsidiaries and associated companies located across the Caribbean, as well as in the United Kingdom and North and Central America (see organizational chart).

Our operations span a variety of fields: food processing and distribution, banking and finance, insurance and remittance services, as well as involvement in the retailing of building materials. Grace Foods first developed their 2020 Vision in 1995, with a view to transform themselves from a Jamaican trading company into a global consumer group with Jamaican roots. 16 years down the line, the company has grown substantially in both size and strength if the growth in revenues, productivity, profits, and market value are anything to go by. Our mission continues to be satisfying the unmet needs of the Caribbean people, wherever we live in the world.

In the future, Grace Foods will be focusing on our beverage portfolio, which includes products like Coconut Water; a thirst quenching drink made with coconut pulp jelly, Nourishment; a vitamin enriched, milk based meal supplement, and an Aloe Vera Drink, made from Aloe Vera gel to help maintain good health as well as boost energy and prevent illness.

Online-Learning announces new series of online Information Design courses for writers, designers and web professionals

Online-Learning announces new
series of online Information Design courses
for writers, designers and web professionals

(PRWEB) August 30, 2002

Ottawa, August 30, 2002: Online-Learning (OLL), a leader in the development and delivery of online courses for technical writing, information design and single-source authoring professionals, announced a new series of online Information Design courses. The courses provide students with the unique ability to receive training in multiple core Information Design skills. Courses are offered in the areas of graphic design, technical writing, single-source documentation, screen layout, web client-server scripting, human-computer interaction design and web-based training design. The courses have been approved through Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business Professional Development Division. Carleton University is Canada’s 8th ranked university.

Courses cost between $ 249 and $ 499 US and take between four and twelve weeks to complete. They are taught by industry experts using a proven mentored-learning model. The model has helped OLL achieve student completion rates of over 80%. The model combines the mentoring power of traditional classroom training with the communications convenience of the Internet.

Using the model, students work through course materials, interactive quizzes and assignments at their own pace. When they have questions, they have fast, convenient access to expert instructors via one-on-one email, scheduled chat sessions and monitored discussion boards. Depending on the length of the course, students must complete between three and five instructor-marked assignments. The assignments provide students with an opportunity to practice the new skills they are learning. To receive a certificate, students must average 70% on the assignments.

The courses address the need for ‘multi-skilled’ Information Design professionals. Today, businesses must recruit and hire teams of writers, designers, programmers and human factors specialists in order to implement online information solutions. In the future, OLL believes corporations will be looking to hire ‘multi-skilled’ Information Designers in order to reduce costs, shrink timeframes and streamline project management.

With over 25 years of past experience in distance education technologies, OLL has been delivering courses over the Internet since 1995. OLL courses couple high-quality content

with a proven mentored-learning model and university certification.

elements Opens Two New Luxury Gyms in Atlanta and Announces More Locations

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 27, 2008

elements for women™ has reached a new level in women’s health and fitness with the grand unveiling of two new facilities in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

Already positioned as a leading fitness brand across the country, elements™ recently debuted their new showcase clubs in Alpharetta and Suwannee Station. The global chain of fitness clubs for women targeted the Atlanta market in response to the lack of upscale fitness and lifestyle club options available to women in that area.

Each of the new showcase clubs, elements™ at Suwannee Station and elements™ at Ellard, offer women a luxurious feel and a complete approach to wellness that incorporates health, diet, fitness and beauty.

elements™ at Suwannee Station, an up-and-coming section of the Atlanta metropolitan area, is surrounded by country clubs, upscale homes and communities, and shopping opportunities. The club contains an elements™ gym and a BalanceD™ diet center, as well as a Novo Physical Therapy next door. The combination of fitness, diet and physical therapy/rehabilitation makes the club a unique, one-stop location for women looking to improve their health and lifestyle.

Because the elements™ fitness philosophy incorporates a complete, total approach to wellness, the brand has been a popular choice for physical therapists who are looking to open their own club. The new Suwannee Station location further illustrates this natural progression of the wellness and fitness process.

Designed by elements™ Director of Club Design, Kitzie Perez, the elements™ at Suwannee Station showcases Italian chandeliers hung in sequence at the curved entry, a full-glass back wall, and a view of the forested landscape. An atmosphere of luxury and comfort is continued throughout the club with the use of soft lighting and open spaces. Form and function are combined in each area of the gym, from the cardio zone to workout areas to multiple group fitness rooms.

The clubs’ locker room areas, often one of the most overlooked areas in terms of fitness club design, feature an innovative series of lighted circular “clouds” built into the ceiling at varying heights to give the rooms a light, airy feeling. The luxurious feel of the club is also personified in personal saunas, personal dressing rooms, and a massage area.

elements™ at Ellard, located in Alpharetta’s upscale Ellard Mercantile Exchange retail center, showcases 30-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling drapes and an all-white interior. The club features 10,000 square feet of spa and fitness amenities, including a full service hair salon, med spa, anti-aging, massage, and complete fitness center.

Members can enjoy massages, facials, mesotherapy and other spa options from the exclusive Moda Spa brand, as well as luxurious locker rooms and lounge area and standard elements™ fitness features such as European-designed Smart Card equipment and innovative group fitness classes.
